A Self-Archiving Policy outlines the terms under which authors can deposit copies of their journal articles in repositories or on personal or institutional websites. The Author retains the right to use their Article for a wide range of purposes, and it requires no fee from the Author. It typically specifies which version of the Article can be archived (e.g., preprint, accepted manuscript, or published version). The submitted version of the Article may be self-archived without delay, and the accepted version of the Article may be self-archived after the prohibition period.

Self-Archiving Policy at Journal Advances of Nutrition Science and Technology
At the Journal Advances of Nutrition Science and Technology, we promote open access and encourage authors to share their work through self-archiving. Authors are allowed to deposit both preprints and postprints of their articles in institutional or subject repositories, as well as on their personal websites and social media profiles, as long as they provide proper attribution to the Journal Advances of Nutrition Science and Technology and include the Article’s DOI.
Guidelines for Self-Archiving:
- Preprints: Authors may upload preprints of their articles to preprint servers like arXiv or Zenodo or bioRxiv before or at the time of submission to our Journal. Submission of a manuscript to a preprint server does not constitute prior publication and does not prevent consideration by the Journal. After acceptance and publication, authors may update the preprint record with a link to the final published Article.
- Post-prints: After acceptance following peer review, authors may deposit the Author Accepted Manuscript (AAM), the final version of the manuscript accepted for publication after peer review and revisions in institutional repositories, subject repositories, or other repositories of their choice.
- Version of Record: Authors may also deposit the Version of Record (VoR), i.e., the final published version of the Article as it appears on the Journal Advances of Nutrition Science and Technology website, in institutional repositories, subject repositories, or other repositories of their choice. Authors are encouraged to include the DOI and a link to the official Version of Record on the Journal Advances of Nutrition Science and Technology website when depositing the Article
- Prohibition Periods: Journal Advances of Nutrition Science and Technology does not impose any embargo or prohibition period on self-archiving. Authors may deposit the submitted manuscript, Author Accepted Manuscript, and Version of Record without embargo. Authors should also ensure that any applicable requirements of their funding agencies or institutions are satisfied.
When self-archiving, authors should include the following details:
- The Article’s DOI and citation information, including the journal name, volume, issue, and page numbers.
- Link to the Article Published on the website of the ANST
- A statement acknowledging that the Article was published in the Journal Advances of Nutrition Science and Technology, along with a link to the Journal’s website
Repository Policy
Journal Advances of Nutrition Science and Technology permits authors to deposit and make publicly available their articles in an institutional repository, subject repository, or other repository of their choice.
Authors may deposit the following versions of their manuscript:
- Submitted Manuscript: The version of the manuscript originally submitted to Journal Advances of Nutrition Science and Technology.
- Author Accepted Manuscript (AAM): The final version accepted for publication after completion of the peer-review and revision process.
