Authors are expected to adhere to these standards to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.<\/p><p><strong>The Pakistan Journal of Chemistry enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy for Plagiarism.<\/strong><\/p><p>Authors are required to submit plagiarism reports and address any plagiarism-related queries raised by the Editor. Authors and contributors are held accountable for any instances of Plagiarism. Failure to adhere to this policy may result in the cancellation of the Author&#8217;s membership and restrictions on access to the website. Authors are encouraged to utilize online plagiarism detection tools before submitting their manuscripts.<\/p><p><strong>Understanding Plagiarism <\/strong><\/p><p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/01-22-protecting_the_Integrity_of_Government_Science.pdf\">White House Office of Science and Technology Policy,<\/a> Plagiarism occurs when content is reused without proper attribution to the original creator or without their knowledge. This includes copying ideas, work, or thoughts from others without appropriate credit, whether it is done intentionally or unintentionally. Plagiarism can involve both direct copying and failure to cite sources properly, including material from online resources.
